Wendy participates on panel at seminar for Scottish-based bio-tech industry

Wendy joins entrepeneurs, academics, and enterprise development professionals in an interactive seminar focused on commercialising life science technology.  Joining Wendy on the panel will be Douglas Mundie from St. Andrews based SMRU and Gillian Watson, Managing Director of life sciences startup company, Giltech.  This event is hosted by Targeting Innovation, the UK partner for So what? who cares? why you?

Wendy delivers So what? who cares? why you? commercialisation training to prepare researchers to submit applications for funding

In collaboration with UK-based Targeting Innovation, Wendy is training researchers from six UK-based academic institutions on the So what? who cares? why you? methodology. Online coaching clinics featuring So what? who cares? why you? kick off with Ireland-based entrepreneurs

This week marks the second year of the online coaching clinics for Irish based entrepreneurs.  Irish companies with innovations in sectors from fly-fishing to wind turbines are part of the one year long Enterprise Platform Programme hosted by Dundalk Institute of Technology.  So what? who cares? why you? is once again part of the programme offering and will include coaching sessions with Wendy as the entrepreneurs work to apply the toolsets to their businesses.  The program kicks off in November and will finish off with investor pitch presentations in May 2010.

Wendy launches online commercialization training program for Canadian Trade Commissioners

This week, Wendy launches six online training seminars focused on helping Canadian Trade Commissioners assist client companies with commercial success.  Each 90 minute seminar, will be delivered to trade commissioners situated in consulate offices throughout the world.  The topics include:  Understanding the Investment Arena, Commercialization Ecosystems, Best Practices for Partnerships and more.

Wendy to deliver keynote address to The National Association of Seed and Venture Funds

This year’s NASVF conference will feature a keynote address by Wendy Kennedy.  Wendy will share her recipe for commercial success, including a roadmap for investors, economic development professionals, research park managers and others to discover and ignite ideas with great commercial potential. Wendy will also participate in a panel discussion on the topic of “Translating Science to Business when Funding is Tight”.

The conference takes place September 14-16, 2009 in Oklahoma City, OK to an audience of more than 300 investment professionals, economic development executives, federal lab directors, and others.

The Purdue Entrepreneurship Academy is now available as a packaged product for others to introduce in their own local markets thanks to a partnership between Purdue and wendykennedy.com.  "The success of the Academy and its impact throughout the state of Indiana prompted us to take this next step in making it available to other institutions and organizations", says Wendy Kennedy.
