wendykennedy.com inc. delivers online entrepreneurship classes for Irish-based entrepreneurs

Irish enterpreneurs are experiencing a new approach to interactive workshops this week, thanks to VoIP and the internet.  Wendy is delivering a weekly 90 minute classes for early stage entrepreneurs, broadcast from Ottawa, Canada to Ireland.  Using this technology, we hope to offer elearning with a new level of interactivity among participants.  Classes begin this week and will run each Monday for 10 weeks.

Wendy delivers commercialization training to European Space Agency

Wendy Kennedy brings So what? who cares? why you? to the European Space Agency.  This week, Wendy will conduct two days of workshops with professionals responsible for assessing the commercial value of new innovations. Participants will gain new skills and approaches to assessing commercial value as well as templates for assisting clients in business case development.

wendykennedy.com inc. sits as advisor to Irish Entrepreneurship Initiative

This week, Wendy is in Ireland to participate in an exciting entrepreneurship initiative, Accelerating Campus Entrepreneurship.  This project is a collaboration of several organizations across Ireland under the leadership of the Dundalk Institute of Technology.  The goal of the project is to embed entrepreneurship education into existing non-business programmes while effecting organisational change within and between the institutions to reflect entrepreneurial processes involving collaboration between the academic Schools and Departments, incubation and technology transfer offices.

Purdue Entrepreneurship Academy opens world of possibilities
for Indiana high-school seniors.

More than 45 Indiana high school students presented their business savvy and entrepreneurial skills on Friday August 1st at Purdue University as part of the week-long Purdue Entrepreneurship Academy. 

Over the course of the week, students worked with Wendy Kennedy for two-days of entrepreneurial "boot-camp" and learned how to develop an investor pitch for a technology idea. Wendy's international entrepreneurial workshop program is used throughout the Purdue Research Foundation Entrepreneurship Academy.

Wendy delivers commercialization workshop at Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) Conference in Portland, Oregon.

Wendy returns to the FLC Annual Meeting again this year to deliver a commercialization workshop for Intermediate level technology transfer professionals.  Participants to the workshop will include federal scientists and engineers along with technology transfer professionals.  More information about the FLC Annual Meeting is available here.

Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) hosts commercialization training program to support innovation and economic development goals.

ACOA will host two-one day workshops to enhance the commercialization support system for program managers and clients.  The workshops will be hosted in Moncton, New Brunswick and St. John's, Newfoundland and will focus on providing a library of tools and approaches to discover the commercial potential of science and technology inventions.>

Irish incubators adopt So what? who cares? why you? for entrepreneurship programs

Two incubators based in Ireland, The Enterprise Acceleration Centre in Limerick and the Novation Center in Dundalk, have adopted So what? who cares? why you? as their primary resource tool for two entrepreneurship programmes.  EnterpriseSTART, a six-week training programme and the Novation Enterprise Platform Programme, which is aimed at committed entrepreneurs and runs over one year.  These programmes will use So what? who cares? why you?: The Inventor's Commercialization Toolkit to train and coach entrepreneurs through the key business building elements.
