Coaching
Many universities, economic development and entrepreneurial organizations that are pursuing commercialization initiatives have adopted Wendy Kennedy's So what? who cares? why you?® methodology as a basis for educating and assessing which ideas represent the best opportunities. To weave So what? who cares? why you?® into the fabric of their commercialization initiatives, many of these organizations engage Wendy in a coaching capacity, often in conjunction with co-branding the book.
Coaching engagements may take on a variety of forms, including:
- Initial project kick-off workshops and multi-day retreats. The best way to launch a So what? who cares? why you?® initiative at an organization is with a keynote address by Wendy followed by training workshops. A kick-off workshop gets everyone engaged in this proven approach to technology commercialization.
- Ongoing workshops, breakout sessions and one-on-one coaching engagements with particular groups and research teams within an organization. These may be regular, pre-scheduled events or provided on an as-needed basis pending Wendy's availability.
- E-coaching. Wendy uses available technologies — including videoconferences, webinars, podcasts and emails — to guide a team through the So what? who cares? why you?® methodology and to provide ongoing reviews of their progress.
In addition, owners of the So what? who cares? why you?® book receive life-long access to Wendy Kennedy's online ToolShed, which provides frequently updated, value-added templates, tools, tips, advice and links related to commercialization, innovation and technology entrepreneurship.
And, anyone can sign up to receive Wendy's newsletter or to read her blog.
